Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was really fun. I got to open a lot of presents. I started off the morning opening my stocking (custom made an sewn with my name on it!). There is always fun stuff in the stocking plus the traditional mandarin orange at the very bottom.
Here is a picture of me outside with Papa using my new present a miniature snow shovel, something I really needed in Canada!
More shoveling...
Everywhere I went Gracie (Uncle's dog) was only a few feet behind me. Probably because there was a pretty good chance he would be fed if he was in my vicinity. There was always lots of food available at Nana's house!

Christmas Eve

Here's a picture of me all dressed up with someplace to go (Church). We went to Christmas Eve service on Sunday morning. For some reason Nana had to take me out of the service because I guess I was talking to loud.

I also went to visit Nanny (my Great Grandmother) at the old folks home. I was a big hit with the ladies there.

Momma and Me Snuggling

One of my favorite things is snuggling with momma especially when my teeth are bothering me or when I am using stall tactics to avoid going to bed. No one can resist my snuggling so I can stay up a little later.

Minot, North Dakota

There was a lot of snow in North Dakota. After we got here it snowed for three straight days and made a mess of the roads. Grandpa and Grandma have a water dispenser I used the fullest extent. I was the official water filler for everyone. I even let water out even when I didn't have a container.Dirk and Amber got me a really cool John Deere tractor for Christmas. Really cool. I got more pictures and presents too but the pictures are on other cameras... more to come!

Skating

Mom and dad took me skating in Winnipeg on Christmas Day. It was pretty fun. We had one of the three outdoor rinks all to ourselves. It was really fun. Daddy would skate really fast. I would roll around on the ice and shoot the puck.

It got dark pretty early because we are a lot farther north than Minneapolis and the workers were still on vacation so the lights weren't turned on. The weather was pretty nice. We could have stayed out all night. It was really fun.

P.S. - Mom was there but she was the photographer today.

Winnipeg

Today we arrived in Winnipeg, Canada and there is more snow here than I have ever seen. Papa and Nana took me to a sliding hill where Daddy took me down on an orange sleigh. We went really fast! After a while I got tired of sliding so I would push the sleighs down the hill and make Daddy chase after them.

There was so much snow I just wanted to roll around in it. There was way more snow here than in Minneapolis. I even like to eat snow although Daddy tells me only to eat the really white stuff.

We came to Winnipeg just after the winter so the shadows were really long. I had never really noticed shadows before so I spent part of the morning standing in Papa, Nana, and Daddy's shadow.

I like going up and down the hill but I when I got tired I made Dad carry me up and down the hill as necessary.

In only one morning I became a leading authority on sleds. Here's a picture of me explaining to dad how to operate the breaking system.

The hills we were on were not that big but I could see really really far. I hadn't been this high since the being on th gondola in Colorado!

Momma was there too but she didn't dress warm enough so she spent a lot of her time in car warming up. She doesn't have Canadian blood in her like I do. I think it makes me a lot tougher. My nose and cheeks were red by the time we went home but I still didn't want to leave. I can't wait to go again!

White Socks!

Here's a picture of the crew during our trip to Colorado. Yes it took three hands to keep me still and yes dad is wearing white socks with his dress shoes! Mom didn't you inspect his attire before letting him out?

We took this picture right outside of Kirby's restaurant. We were all so stuffed we could barely move. Dad ate a pork chop that was almost as big as I am.

Christmas Tree

Today Daddy and I went to the tree store and got a really big Christmas tree! After we set the tree up I took a nap. While I was sleeping dad put all the lights on the tree. When I woke up the tree looked amazing. As you can tell by the photo, yes, I just woke up.

I was pretty good at decorating the tree. Mom was pretty picky about what colors I put on tree but I think I did good considering I am only two.

Not bad eh! I can't wait to see the trees at Nana and Papa's house and Grandma and Grandpa's house!

Mom, Call The Cell Phone

This weekend mom went to Las Vegas for an all girls weekend so dad and me are bacheloring it this weekend. Today we to 50th and France in Edina to see Santa. He was telling stories to a bunch of children. Actually it was just two children (me and one other boy). I was pretty scared of Santa since I had never really seen him so close before. I'll be more prepared with my Christmas list next time. The cat sort of had my tongue today.

After that dad and I went to Target where I was reviewing the toy department. I was pushing some of the buttons on the trucks that make noises with signs that say, 'Press Here!'. I pressed them so much that some of them ran out of batteries. Sorry Target!

While I was playing a made a big mess in my pants and since dad was not prepared like mom would be for this situation we had to go home early to change my diaper. By then it was time for supper and we had spaghetti. Dad should no better. I think I had more spaghetti sauce on my face then ended up in my mouth. Thankfully there are no pictures since mom took the camera to Vegas.

All this excitement and we are only half way through the weekend! Mom if you see a mushroom cloud in the direction of Minnesota you might want to call the cell phone. It could be us!

27 Takes And This Was The Best One

Here is probably the best available photo of the whole crew at my birthday. As you can see by my actions I had way too much going on to pause for a photo. Dad and Papa had to tag team me to get me in this photo at all. There was a lot of things that needed to be played with and there were way to many contacts I needed to network with.

Dadoworks

This is what happens when you don't have your property built by my uncle/architect Paul and his company Dadoworks.

Paparazzi

Well, the paparazzi was in full force over my birthday weekend. I was considering hiring a body guard like Brad and Angelina but I figured I didn't need that kind of political fallout to damage my career.

These pictures are a little late since it takes a while for the pictures to filter through the paparazzi photo developers and finally get to the papers.

Updated Marathon Photos

Here's a picture of my mommy and auntie (and their friend Beth) running in the Twin Cities marathon.

I also planned to participate in the marathon but was disqualified for use of a motorized vehicle?! I didn't think that was fair but I guess in hindsight my batteries only last for about an hour anyway.

Some Pictures of Me

One of my favorite things to do is to get up early in the morning and crawl in with mom and dad but mom and dad don't have a TV in their room with cartoons in the morning! Mom and dad need to hook up a TV in their room so I can watch with them in the morning.

For some reason I am really popular with Allie when I am carrying food around. I wonder why?

Ok, maybe I know why.

For some reason this kitty isn't as excited to see me.

I need to do some work so I thought I would get dressed up. How do you like my suit?

The Three Little Tractors

First I tried Dirk's monster tractor but state laws dictate that I have some sort of license to operate machinery? Accursed government sticking their nose in everyone's business. I guess I can't have this tractor, yet...

Then I tried a medium sized tractor but it was still too big.

Finally I tried a four wheeler and it was just right!

Other vehicles I like are semi trucks,

and motorcycles.

Playing In Leaves

This fall has been plagued by un-seasonable cold and un-seasonable warmth. The other day my best friend Mel and I were playing in the leaves that daddy raked. It was pretty fun.

Mel's birthday was also two days before mine so we went out to a pumpkin patch. Pretty much my favorite part of the trip was when I got sit on the old McCormick tractor.

So much was going on I needed some coffee to keep me going.

Uncle Kirby and Auntie Lala also came to visit from Colorado. They played with me a lot. It was really fun! We are going to visit them at Thanksgiving. I can't wait to fly on a big airplane!

I think the fall is my favorite time of year. It is really fun to play in the leaves and I like the cool weather.

Happy Birthday To Me!

This post is a little late. Mostly because mom and dad have been busy but partly because Blogger has been acting up. Google please fix this please.

My official birthday started with a trip to the doctor for my two year check-up. The doctor said I talked a lot. Everything checked out normal except that I am a little crazy. The whole time I was with the doctor I said, "I don't like the doctor. I don't like the doctor." I don't know if she appreciated that...

I just had my birthday. People came from all over to visit me. My Nana and Papa came from Manitoba, Canada, and my Grandma and Grandpa from North Dakota. My Auntie and Uncle even came from South Dakota.

Allie also came for the festivities and even stayed with me after everybody left. I think I would like to get a doggie one day.

I got pretty good at opening presents except I could not handle opening more than one present at a time because I would need to play with my present for a couple hours between opening presents.

Thanks to everyone who came to my birthday. I can't wait until Christmas.

Happy Halloween

Tonight was Halloween and me and my friend Mel went trick or treating. Mel's mommy made these jack-o-lanterns. They look pretty scary at night!

I was a lion and Mel was a kitty. We made the rounds of the street (4 houses). It was a pretty good haul. Mom only let me eat two pieces of candy but I was still bouncing off the walls.

The weather was pretty cool, below zero but I still didn't want to wear mitts since I am pretty tough.

First Skate

Today I laced up my skates (while mom did) and I put on my hockey helmet for my first day of ice skating.

It was really fun. The ice was slipperier than I first thought but by the end of the day I was loving it. I even got really grumpy when mom said we had to go. I even put my helmet on to be safe.

Mom and dad both helped me around the rink. I liked skating by myself and when dad picked me up and skated around the rink really fast.

I can't wait to go skating again. All I need now is my shoulder pads, gloves, and stick and I am ready for full contact hockey. Well, maybe I'll work on my skating a little bit more. I am not even two years old yet.
