Monkey Around

Here's a picture of me playing in the yard. Mom got a new camera to start her photography business. I decided I should be the model for the photos and was telling mom which poses to take pictures of me in.

Here's a picture of me standing on my slide. I insisted that mom take a picture of me. This picture combines my good looks with my attitude of always being a little bit dangerous. I always take the approach and consider whether there is a chance I might not get hurt. I this chance exists I take it.

People have been really good about not forgetting about me when they bring over presents for Macsen. The neighbor lady brought me over this dinosaur. I even took it to church on Sunday to show my friends. I call him Coco.

Slacker!

I know, I know I have been slacking on the blog posts. My cousins and friends have been doing a great job of keeping their blogs up, Mom and Dad keep saying somthing about not having any time. What ever! So we are gearing up for our big trip to North Dakota! I talk about it every day, I just can't wait. Although someone said somthing about a 14 hour car ride, don't really know what that means?!?

Macs is still a great little brother, I am trying to teach him to jump off the couch and run circles around the house, but I think he is a slow learner. All he does is sleep! Someday he'll get the hang of being a wild and crazy boy like me. Well I am off to gymnastics with my dad.

Nana Calls Me Precious...

Mommy and I were discussing Nana and Papa the other day and I remembered something that Nana always says to me.

I said, "Nana calls me precious."

Then I said, "Nana calls Papa, Rick!"

Mommy thought it was pretty funny and couldn't stop laughing. I don't get it.

Weekend

We took it pretty easy this weekend. The weather was about perfect. Mid-seventies with cool nights and we got to keep the windows open all day. Church was really fun on Sunday. Before mom and dad used to have to convince me to go in but now I just run right into class straight from the parking lot to the classroom. I have a bunch of friends too.

Macsen doesn't really go to Sunday school yet but I think he will pretty soon.

My uncle Kevin's birthday was on Sunday, Happy Birthday!

Strategic Washcloth

Here's a picture of Macs in his first bath. He doesn't seem to love baths as much as me. Actually I hate getting in the bath but once I am in I have a really good time.

Here's a picture of Macs out of the bath and fully clothed. He's a little happier here. He looks like he is playing the guitar! Can you see my feet in the photo?

Which is Which?

I found some photos of me from a couple years ago. Can you tell which one is me and which one is Macs? As a hint I am the cuter one I am sure! Just kidding Macs!

Answer: I (Brenden) am the one on the bottom.

Me and My Bro

Here's me and Macs hanging out on the floor. Macs can usually keep my attention for a few minutes. He doesn't do very much do sometimes I need to find other things to do. Mom says I'm a real help with changing Macs' diaper because I run and get the diapers and bring them to mom. Sometimes I even bring the wipes.

I am really excited for the weekend. That means dad doesn't have to go to work for two whole days!

Brenden vs. the Pillows

Here's a video I put together with dad of me tackling a bunch of pillows. Fans of HNIC will love the music!

Warning: Hilarious

Garden Walk

Well this is more like a garden stand. I'd walk but I would probably step on a bunch of flowers and plants and then I would get in trouble. These are some more pictures from outside of our church.

Today is a scorcher (93 F) but the humidity isn't too bad right now. Sounds like the rest of the continent is in a heat wave as well so I can't complain but I wish I got play outside longer.

The icecream man drove by today and I got a popsickle, even though I had popsickles in the fridge.

Still Sleepy and Just a Little Bit Mad

Macsen continues to spend a lot of time sleeping. The only time he really gets upset now is when he is hungry... which is most of the time he is awake. Macsen also likes to go for walks just like me. Yesterday a doe and her fawn ran out from behind our house and dad and I chased him on our bike. They were a little too fast for us, at least for dad anyway. Macsen didn't come on this adventure though. Dad said it has something to do with Macsen not being able to support his own head yet? I think he would do fine but nobody listens to me anyway.

Carbon Footprint

In honor of Live Earth Macsen and I are contributing as much carbon and other gases to the atmosphere as possible. I have never seen a baby that can go 'No. 2' like Macsen. The ozone layer must be depleted over Wisconsin.

Last night dad and I were burning sparklers, smoke bombs, and tanks. Here's what we have to say to those Live Earth hypocrites...

L'Hopital

Macsen was born at the Aurora Medical Center. The hospital was built in 2003 and is very, very nice. Since mom essentially refused to be photographed we can't release too many photos of the room. This picture has been released since you can't really see her too well but she still may pull it at anytime.
You can see Macs sleeping in his special hospital crib, which does not appear too cozy. Dad is on the phone using the cell phone with the charger plugged into the wall. Most people would assume that dad has been talking on the phone so much that the battery went dead. Unfortuntely, this is not the truth. Verizon wireless service is so bad in this area cell phones die in minutes as they strain to find towers. Who knew?

The bathroom facilities are also great including jacuzzi and shower and toilet (no pictured).

This is a picture of the courtyard of the hospital. Our room is on the third (top) floor and the furthest to the left, even though you can't seen in the room from here...

Triking

This is a picture of me and dad out for a drive in my tricycle. I do a lot more tri-ing than cycling. Good thing dad still left the handle on because I like giving orders not actually making the tricycle move.
We are in an area of our development that is not yet developed... Because it's so isolated I like to take these opportunities to relieve my self on the side of the road (no photos since this is a G rated site).

Sidewalk Checkers

Even though Macsen tries to hog a lot of the spotlight (he just sits there and does nothing, I don't know what's so entertaining about that) me and dad still do a lot of coloring with sidewalk chalk. Here's a picture of us drawing a checkerboard. It would have worked better if we had movable checkers but it looks pretty cool anyway. We really do need some rain here. If it doesn't rain we start to run out of areas to draw on our driveway.

From God

Here's a picture of Macs sleeping on our chesterfield. He looks pretty comfortable.

This baby sure likes to sleep. I think they put sleep potions on this car seat because whenever he gets in he falls asleep right away. Funny, because this car seat used to wake me up and make me yell a lot. In fact, until I started watching videos in the car I used to yell everytime I got in the car.

Welcome to Earth, Third Rock from the Sun

Here's a picture of Macsen's bed. Actually it used to be my bed but I got a different one so I don't sleep here anymore. Big boys don't sleep in cribs, you know.

Check out where Macsen is sleeping now! Is that basinet regulation size or what? He's got of growing to do until he fits into a big boy.

Excitement

Seems like there has been a lot going on the last week or so but I'm not letting it get to me. Here's a picture of me eating some junk food and watching videos in the hospital room while I was visiting mom. I try not to get worked up over things, they call me Ice Veins.

Visitors

We had visitors from all over for some reason. Nana and Papa drove all the way down from Canada to stay with me. Mom and Dad were at the hospital in Oshkosh for a couple nights and Nana and Papa took care of me.
This is a picture right before we went to the hospital to meet Macsen for the very first time. I wanted to go down the stairs very carefully because I certainly didn't want a real reason to go to the hospital!

Papa drove back to Canada and left Nana for a few more days. After Nana flew home Grandpa showed up the next day and stayed until Monday. I still don't know what all the fuss was about and why everyone wanted to visit us all of a sudden?

Dump Truck and B the B

Here's a picture of me in my Bob the Buider pose. Nana and Papa got me a tool belt and a whole bunch of tools. I use these tools to help daddy fix things. I also use them to keep me awake at night so that I don't need to fall asleep. I don't know how they find their way in bed with me?

Even though Macsen is pretty small I'm still small enough to sit in plastic dump truck.

Tree Climbing

Look at how high I am in this tree. I tried to get Macsen to climb up with me but he was more interested in sleeping. Plus I don't think he arms do exactly what he wants them to do yet. This picture was taken behind our church. Dad kept saying 'Don't climb on my shirt", but I wasn't the best listener, I was scared I might fall!

I'm Bigger Than My Little Brother

I got a new brother and he is really fun. However, he sleeps a lot which allows me to do most of the talking, which I love to do.

Here I am taking care of Macsen and watching Bob the Builder. This baby sitting stuff is easy!

Happy Canada Day!

Bedtime Loathing

I really do not like going to bed. I try to squeeze every last minute out of the day. Nana and daddy said I looked 'cute' in these PJ's so I managed to squeeze out a few more minutes of picture time before being forced off to bed. I can't wait until I am older and I get to stay up at least until the sun goes down!
