Snow Day

Well, today we had a reminder of what winter is like in Minnesota. Most of Great Britain, including Wales, was blanketed with snow over the past 24 hours. Not only is it Ash Wednesday but today is also St. David's Day, one of the biggest events on the Welsh calender. Needless to say that all schools were cancelled for the day (if there is any snow accumulation school is almost always cancelled).

Dad has been accused of bringing the winter with him from North America by people at work. We are glad to do all we can to combat 'Global Warming'! Even employees at dad's work were excited to see the snow since it snows so little in Wales in recent years.

The BBC is forecasting the snow will continue until Thursday or even Friday. If that occurs the shutdowns might include more than just the schools but local businesses as well.

As for me, I am going to build a snow man if mom will let me outside (I've had a little cold lately).
